Elsiena Wiering is a Dutch visual artist living in Spain since 2017. She graduated from the Academy of Minerva, Fine Arts in Groningen, the Netherlands (Bachelor´s degree) in 2012 and since then joined several groups, duo and solo shows in the Netherlands and abroad. In 2017 she decided to move to Málaga in the South of Spain. This change in lifestyle was accompanied by a change in her body of work; from monochrome 3 dimensional sculptures, her work developed into a more airy, playful way of expressing herself, in which colour was introduced by using the very traditional cyanotype technique representing a cheerful dance with sunlight and water.
