Amy Pearce painted the lily from one currently growing in her back yard. She had owned this plant for over 10 years, and this was the first time it bloomed with multiple flowers instead of just one. This held great significance for her as she had been grappling with internal battles for the past two months. The plant appeared prominently every single morning as she reluctantly went to her day job, offering her a brief escape into the beauty of the moment. Amy painted it using concentrated watercolor, watercolor cut with rubbing alcohol, and acrylic paint.
