Marie Gagné Perez, born December 9, 1939, in the Bronx, New York, faced polio at 14 months, shaping her into a left-handed artist. Growing up in modest circumstances, she painted landscapes inspired by her imagination and childhood dreams. Pausing her art in 1983 for a programming career, Marie resumed her creative journey in 2005 upon retirement. Self-taught, her emotive artwork reflects the landscapes she envisioned as a child. Since 1966, Marie has lived in Southern California with her actor husband, embodying a lifetime of creative resilience, notable achievements, and a passionate return to her artistic roots in 2005.
