Jen Sterling, born in Wisconsin and raised in Northern Virginia, graduated from George Washington University with a BA in Visual Communications and a minor in Psychology. After 30 years as an entrepreneur in design and branding, founding three creative agencies, she sold her last company to focus on fine art. Influenced by Jasper Johns, Joan Mitchell, and Mark Rothko, her work has won an International Grand Prize and been featured in numerous mid-Atlantic galleries and festivals. Her colorful abstracts adorn clothing, skateboards, private homes, and commercial buildings. Jen lives with her husband and dogs in Annapolis, Maryland, and actively mentors emerging businesses and fellow artists.
