Bill Santelli never felt like he chose art; he felt like art chose him, much like a moth is drawn to a flame. Art has always called to him, and he has been an artist his entire life. To support his passion for painting, he pursued various shadow careers in education and arts-related businesses. Santelli has worked as a high school art teacher, archival picture framer, manager of the largest antique print gallery on the West Coast, sales person and book buyer for an art supply company, and general manager for an archival photographic and picture framing supply company with an international catalog and retail stores. He views these careers as necessary steps on his artistic path.

Santelli creates art to bring beauty and light into the world, with a mantra to express beauty, serenity, and peace. Since 1991, he has maintained a full-time studio practice, living and working in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.
